Fruit Illustration
Overview
This is a project for a digital illustration of a group of fruits. It required a small variety of brushes, a simple background, and for the fruits to be related to each other as a group. This particular group is related for being vibrantly colored tropical fruits. The challenge was creating an illustration of fruits separately that were later layered together for a finished piece while maintaining consistency between all of the illustrations.

Mango
- Started the use of hard shadows due to shape
- Interesting shapes and cuts
- Harsh shadows and highlights, no blending but instead hard lines
- Small dots to help disperse some of the harsh light
Dragonfruit
- Harsh values as well, but more gradient
- Many small dots to help add texture and disperse light
- Extra details flattened to only one or two colors
Starfruit
- Same idea with shaped values, but more variants for accuracy
- Very flat colors on cut fruit to accentuate lightness
- White uses as highlight instead of light color for extra depth
